(July 25 – 31, 2010)

Experience the magic of working with chalk pastel. This is a wonderful medium for use in the landscape as the vivid colour and easy application lend themselves to the scale of the outdoors. You will be encouraged to work with full size pastel papers, but as I work with you separately, there is a great deal of flexibility as to mediums and scale. No prior experience is necessary. My teaching is one to one with the aim of inspiring each student to work towards his or her individual goals.

Participants will arrive on Sunday afternoon, and have an opportunity for a walk on the land before enjoying dinner in the Wintergreen lodge. For the next five days, we will be working outside, weather permitting. After breakfast each day, we will have a lesson inside the lodge at 9:15. We will then move outside to a variety of different scenic spots, where a picnic lunch will be provided each day. We will finish each day with a group critique at around 3:30 on the site. We will wrap-up our time together on Saturday morning in the lodge.

A materials list will be sent to you a few weeks before the workshop begins.
