To be interested in the changing seasons is a happier state of mind than to be hopelessly in love with spring. – George Santayana
Learn to follow a more simplistic path and the rhythms of our existence, guided by the natural cycle of the earth – the changing of the seasons. The Autumn Equinox is seen as a time for reflection, gratitude, and for sharing our abundance with those around us, whether through harvest, spirit, or other blessings.
With one step in front of the other, we will come together to dwell in the beauty of the natural world, learn about the historical and cultural traditions surrounding labyrinths, and celebrate the shift not only in the balance between day and night, but also the shift in our perception. After long summer days spent chasing the sunlight, autumn sneaks up on us and brings our days back home, to hearth and harvest.
Let this unique experience of movement, meditation, and reflection attune you to the growth and changes that surround us as summer gives way to fall. The evening will find participants walking the path of the newly built stone labyrinth and retreating to the lodge at the completion of the walk to consolidate future intentions.
This community event is open to all. Light snacks and coffee/tea will be served. Participation by donation (suggested donation of $20). No registration necessary.
