These Small Hours is a chapbook of poetry crafted during the autumn of 2022 during one of Lorna Crozier’s poetry writing retreats. The work of 9 poets— Susan Haldane, Susan Wismer, Callista Markotich, Liz Huntly, Alexandra Fidyk, Annie Deeley, Mary-Alice Thompson, Sandra Campbell, and Kimberly Peterson—is featured in this collection. Lorna Crozier has published many books of poetry and a memoir. An Officer of the Order of Canada she’s been acknowledged for her writing, her contribution to literature, and her mentoring and teaching with five honourary doctorates, the most recent from McGill and Simon Fraser Universities. A beloved teacher at the University of Victoria for over twenty years and an instructor at Banff and Sage Hill, Lorna now flexes her teaching muscles at Wintergreen. She’s taught there since 2010 and it’s become a second home.
